Black Queens set to kick off WAFCON campaign against defending champions South Africa

Black Queens will kick off their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) 2024 campaign today, July 7, at exactly 4 pm against defending champions South Africa at the Honneur Stadium in Oujda, Morocco.

This opening match marks a crucial opportunity for the Queens to bounce back after missing out on the previous WAFCON tournament, as they aim to make a strong statement in Group C of the competition.

Ghana’s team has been preparing rigorously, including three international warm-up friendlies against Malawi, Botswana, and Nigeria, designed to test their readiness and sharpen tactics ahead of the tournament.
