Black Queens to Embark on Nine-Day Training Tour in Senegal Ahead of WAFCON

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that the Black Queens, Ghana’s senior women’s national football team, will head to Senegal for a nine-day training tour during the April FIFA international window.

This intensive training camp is part of the team’s preparations for the 2025 TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), set to take place in Morocco from July 5-26, 2025.

As part of the tour, the Black Queens will play two high-profile international friendlies against Senegal’s national team, the Teranga Lionesses. The matches will be held in Dakar, with exact dates to be announced soon. These fixtures will provide a valuable opportunity for both teams to fine-tune their strategies ahead of the continental tournament.

The Senegal training camp follows a successful preparatory camp in Morocco during the February FIFA window, where the Black Queens strengthened team cohesion and gained essential match experience.

With WAFCON on the horizon, this latest initiative underscores the GFA’s commitment to ensuring the team is well-prepared to compete at the highest level.
