Black Stars cannot afford to lose against Chad – Augustine Ahinful

Former Ghana striker Augustine Ahinful believes the Black Stars must secure victory against Chad in their upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifier.
Following their failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for the first time in two decades, the Black Stars are looking to bounce back as they prepare for the next phase of their World Cup qualification campaign.
The four-time African champions will host Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, with kick-off set for 19:00 GMT.

After a disappointing 2024, Ahinful insists that the Black Stars cannot afford another setback in their quest for a World Cup spot.
“Black Stars cannot afford to lose against Chad on Friday,” he told Asempa FM.
Ahinful has also urged the Black Stars not to underestimate any of their opponents. After securing only two wins in their last 10 matches played in 2024, the Black Stars will be looking to start strong in 2025.
