Catch Them Young Referees to shine in MTN FA Cup

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed eight “Catch Them Young” referees to officiate in the quarter-final matches of the MTN FA Cup.
The quarter-final matches of the MTN FA Cup are scheduled to take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, March 29, and Sunday, March 30, 2025.
‘The first match will be between Attram De Visser and Pac Academy, while the second match will feature Karela United and Golden Kick.

For the Attram De Visser and Pac Academy game on Saturday, Angelous Akurugu Adonko will take charge as the center referee, assisted by Abraham Partey (Assistant I), Philip Amoh (Assistant II), and Theophilus Antwi Sekyi (Fourth Official).
The match between Karela United and Golden Kick FC on Sunday will be officiated by Kingsford Oteng Yeboah, who will be assisted by Joseph Teye Awasasi (Assistant I), Haruna Yakubu (Assistant II), and Alex Amoabeng (Fourth Official).

Mr. Alex Kotey has been appointed as the Match Commissioner for both games.
These young referees have impressed with their performances in the Access Bank Division One League and the Ghana Premier League this season, earning them the opportunity to officiate in the quarter-finals of Ghana’s most prestigious cup competition.
Their appointment is a clear indication of the GFA’s efforts to nurture young talent and provide opportunities for growth and development in Ghanaian football.
