Chelsea are looking to sign Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy over the summer

Chelsea are deemed “favourite” to sign €70m-rated striker Serhou Guirassy from Borussia Dortmund, rated as one of the Champions League’s most deadly strikers, ahead of Juventus and Milan this summer.

Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy who is the top scorer in the Champions League this season – netting 13 times, including a hat-trick against Barcelona on Tuesday.

Reportsfrom transfer journalist Maurizio Russo has revealed that Guirassy is being monitored by the Blues as the solution to their goal scoring problems ahead of next season.

Russo reports that Guirassy has a €70m release clause in his Dortmund contract, which is unlikely to put Chelsea off, although they should “be careful” about Juventus’ interest.

However, they face stiff competition from the Italian duo Juventus and Milan for the forward.

Guirassy is a player that Juventus admires, and he could be their main striker when the next campaign begins.

The same report states that Napoli boss Antonio Conte was keen to sign Guirassy last summer, but the Naples ended up landing Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea, but the former Chelsea and Tottenham boss would have liked to sign them both.

The 29-year-old’s 13 goals in the Champions League was not enough to keep the Die Schwarzgelben in the competition, having lost 5-3 on agrregate to Barcelona in the quarter-finals.

The Guinea international will focus on helping his club in their game against Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday, as Dortmund aim to climb into the European qualification positions in the Bundesliga.

The forward has 28 goals in 29 appearances for the Black and Yellow side in all competitions in the 2024/25 campaign.
