Chelsea returned to the top four of the 2024/25 Premier League standings after a 1-0 victory over Leicester City on matchday 28 thanks to a Marc Cucurella winner on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues came close to scoring after 22 minutes from 12 yards , yet Cole Palmer failed to beat Mads Hermansen and kept Leicester in it till the end of the first 45 minutes.

In the opening minutes of the second 45, Leicester looked like they could potentially go ahead on the day away from home at Stamford Bridge.

Nonetheless, a fine ball from Enzo Fernandez met Cucurella who did well to slot it home and ultimately hand the Blues all three points.

The win means Chelsea secure back-to-back victories in the Premier League for the time in 10 games and with the same number of matches to go, Enzo Maresca could see the Blues afforded a UEFA Champions League slot next season.

Up next, Chelsea take on FC Copenhagen in the return fixture of their UEFA Conference League last 16 second-leg before their two London derbies against Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur respectively in the Premier League
