Ederson reportedly set to depart City this summer

Ederson City

Manchester City and Ederson are reportedly expected to part ways this summer after eight years together since July 2017.

Ederson within the last decade has been City’s first choice goalkeeper and has clinched loads of success like winning a treble in 2023 and the Premier League on six occasions.

Nonetheless, it appears there is going to be an end to the Brazilian’s story in England as Guardiola looks to rebuild his team next year in a completely different direction.

One name being considered is that of Atletico Madrid’s long-time shot stopper and deputy skipper Jan Oblak.

Guardiola seems to be a big admirer of Slovenian keeper, and might look to bring him to City next season, but also has close eyes on Porto Diogo Costa, per reports.

For Ederson however, several Saudi Pro League clubs have been long interested in signing the Brazilian and we might see him move to the middle-east soon.

Ederson’s career and legacy is one any goalkeeper joining City next summer will be aiming to imitate, knowing the Brazilian left a lasting impact on English football as one of the best ball playing shot stoppers in its recent history.
