Ghana coach Otto Addo anticipates tough clash against Chad

Ghana head coach Otto Addo has emphasised that his team is preparing for a tough encounter against Chad on Friday in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Despite acknowledging that Chad are not among the strongest teams in Group I, Otto Addo stressed the need for focus and determination to secure a positive result.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Thursday, the 49-year-old highlighted the importance of staying vigilant on matchday and urged Ghanaians to rally behind the team.

A win could propel them from third to first place in the Group I standings, boosting their chances of securing a spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“I know Chad is not a top team but believe me it’s not going to be easy. We need all the support we can get,” coach Otto Addo said.
Ghana will face Chad on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium before travelling to Morocco for a match against Madagascar on Monday, March 24 as they look to keep their World Cup qualification hopes alive.
