Prince Kwabena Adu, a former Bechem United attacker, has been in impressive form in the Czech league this season, earning him recognition from the national team handlers.
Prince Osei Owusu, who currently plays for CF Montreal, previously featured for Toronto FC where he scored nine goals in 31 matches over two seasons. Born in Wertheim, Germany, Owusu developed through the VfB Stuttgart academy and went on to feature for TSG Hoffenheim, Arminia Bielefeld, and TSV 1860 Munich, where he recorded eight goals and six assists during his stint. His consistency in North America has kept him on the Black Stars’ radar.
The third debutant, Kelvin Nkrumah, has been a standout performer in the Ghana Premier League this season, helping Medeama SC climb to second on the league table with his energetic and creative displays.
However, the squad will be without some key names, as Alexander Djiku, Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, Fatawu Issahaku, Joseph Paintsil, and Mohammed Kudus have withdrawn due to injuries and fitness concerns.
Otto Addo is expected to lead his first training session in Nagoya on Wednesday, ahead of Ghana’s opening match in the 2025 Kirin Cup against Japan on Friday, November 14, 2025.
