Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has turned his attention to Ghana’s crucial upcoming clash against Madagascar following his team’s dominant 5-0 victory over Chad in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Black Stars delivered a dominant performance in their emphatic win over Chad, dominating the match from the outset.
Antoine Semenyo opened the scoring just two minutes into the game, setting the tone for what would be a one-sided affair.
Ghana’s relentless pressure paid off when Iñaki Williams doubled the lead in the 31st minute, and Jordan Ayew further extended their advantage with a penalty in the 36th minute.

In the second half, Ghana maintained their dominance. Mohammed Salisu added a fourth goal in the 56th minute, before Ernest Nuamah sealed the win with a strike in the 68th minute, capping off an impressive display by the team.
This convincing victory pushes Ghana to the top of Group I with 12 points after five matches.
Speaking after the match, Otto Addo emphasised the importance of maintaining their position at the top of the table.

“It’s always easier when you’re on top. We want to stay there. We will try to do everything to beat Madagascar on Monday to keep the top spot,” he said.
Coach Addo acknowledged the challenge of the upcoming fixture but stressed the importance of staying focused.
“There’s nothing we can do [about the fixture schedule]; we have to accept it. It will be tough; they [Madagascar] have a really good team,” the 49-year-old added.
“The preparations start now, and it’s good that we won so we can focus on Madagascar.”
