Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Yeboah seals loan move to Swedish side Halmstad BK

Yeboah was referred to as the new Asamoah Gyan after his impressive performances for the Ghana U23 team.

Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Yeboah has joined Swedish top-flight side Halmstad BK on a season-long loan from Danish Superliga club Brøndby IF, the club has confirmed.

The 22-year-old forward will spend the entire 2025/26 campaign with the Allsvenskan outfit after a similar loan stint last season with Vejle Boldklub in Denmark.

An excerpt from Halmstad’s official statement read:

“Danish dynamite from the classic Danish club Brøndby IF joins HBK. Emmanuel Yeboah is a powerful Ghanaian striker who, in addition to the Superliga in Denmark, has credentials from Romanian side CFR Cluj, with games in the Champions League as the crowning achievement.”

Head coach Jesper Westerberg shared his thoughts on the new acquisition via the club’s official website:

“We started looking at him last winter and discovered him through traditional scouting. We always have a profile in mind—both physically and data-wise. Then we use statistical tools, watch match footage, and consult with players and coaches who know the player to understand his character. That’s how we landed on Yeboah.”

Yeboah featured in nine matches for Vejle in the Danish Superliga during the 2024/25 season.

Although he is yet to earn a cap with Ghana’s senior national team, the promising forward has previously represented the country at the U23 level with the Black Meteors.

With his move, Emmanuel Yeboah joins a growing list of Ghanaian players who have featured for Halmstad BK. Notable names include Sadat Karim, Naeem Mohammed, Thomas Boakye and Phil Ofosu-Ayeh, all of whom made their mark at the club in recent years.
