Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Mensah completes move to UAE Side Al Nasr

Bernard Mensah is poised to make a significant impact in the United Arab Emirates League.

Ghanaian attacking midfielder Bernard Mensah has joined Al Nasr ahead of the new United Arab Emirates League season.

The 30-year-old inked a two-year deal to join the capital-based club after leaving Saudi League side Al Riyadh.

A statement on the club’s website stated,

“Al Nasr Football Club signs Ghanaian player Bernard Mensah for two seasons.

Every club needs a rhythm and, most importantly, a Maestro.

Welcome Mensah”

Mensah had a successful spell in the Saudi Pro League playing for Al-Tai and Al Riyadh.

In his first season at Al-Tai, he was one of the best players in the top flight, scoring 14 goals and providing two assists in 30 matches during the 2023/24 season.

The former Ghana international was one of the stars to arrive from Europe to the Saudi Pro League last summer, joining Al-Tai from the Turkish Super Lig, where he played for Kayserispor, Besiktas, and Kasimpasa.

Mensah joined Al Riyadh after just one season at Al Tai where he scored five goals in 29 games.

The former Atletico Madrid midfielder is set to play a crucial role at Al-Nasr following an impressive performance in Saudi Arabia.
