Harry Kane set to miss England vs Wales fixture

England captain Harry Kane is set to miss England’s friendly against Wales due to an injury sustained while playing for Bayern Munich over the weekend.
kane, who would have routinely featured in both games against Wales friendly and Latvia for the World Cup qualifiers encounter, is now expected to be sidelined for an ankle knock.
According to Sky Sports, Kane has subsequently not trained ahead of Wednesday’s clash with Wales and might not play at Wembley. He is expected to follow an indoor routine alongside defender Jarell Quansah.

The Three Lions take on Wales on Thursday evening ahead of a World Cup qualifier against Latvia next week.
England manager Thomas Tuchel’s team is currently in a strong position to qualify for the tournament. They comfortably lead Group K, having won all five of their opening games under the German coach.
Kane’s injury didn’t appear to be serious initially when he went down hard after an 81st-minute collision with Eintracht Frankfurt keeper Kaua Santos. Kane received immediate treatment and left the pitch supported and limping in the 85th minute.

Speaking to Sky Germany afterwards, the 32-year-old laughed off the severity of the injury in his post-match interview, insisting that the injury would not hinder him from honoring his international duty.
“It should be fine in a couple of days,” Kane said when questioned about his ankle. “I’ll be there Monday.“
However, what was initially considered a minor injury has unexpectedly ruled the Bayern striker out of England’s match on Thursday.
