Jadon Sancho for Chelsea

Jadon Sancho is expected to leave Chelsea when his contract ends in June, according to The Athletic.

The online news portal claims that the England international could not agree personal terms with the Blues to make his move permanent this summer.

Sancho moved to Stamford Bridge from Manchester United last summer on a season-long loan deal, which included an obligation to buy for up to £25million.

Chelsea will now pay £5million to walk away from the deal, and are ready to take that option as they look to reshape their attacking options for next season.

The 25-year-old forward made a strong start to life in West London, but his form dipped, and this cast doubt over a long-term stay.

Sancho contributed five goals and 10 assists in 42 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions last season as the Blues clinched the Europa Conference League title by thrashing Real Betis 4-1 in the final with the Englishman on the scoresheet.

The Blues already have Pedro Neto and Noni Madueke, both of whom saw significant game time last season.

Chelsea are also keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who impressed during England’s Under-21 European Championship qualifying campaign.

Sancho, who previously shone at Dortmund, returned to form during a loan spell there last season before Chelsea took a gamble on him at the end of the summer window.
