Jose Mourinho is in the news for the wrong reasons
Jose Mourinho receives punishment for pinching Galatasaray manager’s nose

Fernabahce manager Jose Mourinho has received his punishment for pinching Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk’s nose.
Jose Mourinho has been slapped with a three-match ban for pinching the nose of Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk’s nose, while the later only received a suspension for his troubles.
The Former Chelsea and Manchester United manager’s squabble with Galatasaray continued in the aftermath of Fenerbahce’s Turkish Super Cup loss to their rivals when he walked up behind Buruk and grabbed his nose.
Buruk was then seen on the floor holding his nose, apparently in agony. Now, reports say the Portuguese boss has been slapped with a three-match suspension.

The Turkish Football Federation were exploring a potential five to 10 match ban for the former Chelsea boss but later reduced his punishment after accepting that he was initially provoked by Buruk at full-time.
This would be recorded as the second time in 2025 that Mourinho is facing a touchline ban, after being hit with four matches in February after allegedly being accused of making racist comments about the Galatasaray bench.

Mourinho wasn’t the only one who received punishment for the chaos on that day; Galatasaray players Baris Alper Yılmaz and Kerem Demirbay, as well as Fenerbahce player Fred, have been handed three-match bans. Fenerbahce’s Merk Hakan is also being suspended for one match.
However, the ban has not come into effect yet, but when it does, Mourinho could miss key games against Trabzonspor, Sivasspor, and Kayserispor.
Fenerbahce sits six points behind with 65 points, with Galatasaray at the top of the Turkish Super Lig with a game in hand for Mou’s side.
