The 57-year-old stepped away from the dugout in 2024
Jurgen Klopp reportedly agrees shock return to management with AS Roma

Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reportedly agreed to a surprising return to football management, potentially following in the footsteps of Jose Mourinho.
The 57-year-old stepped away from the dugout in 2024, bidding an emotional farewell to Premier League giants Liverpool.
At the start of 2025, Klopp took on the role of Head of Global Soccer for the Red Bull Group, overseeing strategic plans for their collection of football clubs, including RB Leipzig, New York Red Bulls, Leeds United, and Paris FC.

However, reports suggest Klopp misses “the world of football and the pitch”.
The German, who boasts Bundesliga, Premier League, and Champions League titles on his impressive CV, reportedly longs for a return to day-to-day coaching.
According to La Stampa, Klopp’s next destination could be Roma.
The Serie A club recently parted ways with former Chelsea and Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri, who is heading into retirement.

Klopp was identified as a top target by Roma’s Friedkin ownership group “some time ago.”
It is claimed that a “full agreement” has been reached with Klopp, who is preparing to leave the Red Bull Group and take charge in Italy.
He had been in talks with another club – reportedly one preparing for a major takeover – but is now ready to take the reins at the Stadio Olimpico.
Roma remain optimistic that securing Klopp’s appointment “is not impossible” as they prepare to hand him the role once held by former Manchester United and Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho managed the club from July 2021 to January 2024 and delivered Europa Conference League glory in 2022.
