The report claims that “the Italian club will formally approach United if they believe a move is realistic and they are in touch with Sancho’s representatives over personal terms.”

It is believed that Man United would prefer to sell Sancho permanently than loan him out again. He is valued at around £25m.

Napoli are also interested in Sancho, who has one year left on his remaining contract, however, he will need to take a pay cut to join the Serie A champions.

Sancho is expected to leave Chelsea when his contract ends in June after the England international could not agree personal terms with the Blues to make his move permanent this summer.

Sancho made a strong start to life at Chelsea, but his form dipped

He moved to Stamford Bridge from United last summer on a season-long loan deal, which included an obligation to buy for up to £25m.

Chelsea will pay £5m to walk away from the deal, and are ready to take that option as they look to reshape their attacking options for next season.

Jadon Sancho made a strong start to life in West London, but his form dipped, and this cast doubt over a long-term stay.

The 25-year-old contributed five goals and 10 assists in 42 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions last season as the Blues clinched the Europa Conference League title by thrashing Real Betis 4-1 in the final with the Englishman on the scoresheet.

Sancho, who previously shone at Dortmund, returned to form during a loan spell there last season before Chelsea took a gamble on him at the end of the summer window.
