The match remained goalless at halftime, with both teams creating chances but failing to capitalise.

However, after the break, Kotoko intensified their attack and found the breakthrough through Albert Amoah’s composed finish, which proved to be the decisive goal.

The win puts head coach Abdul Karim Zito on track for his first trophy with the Porcupine Warriors, marking a significant milestone in his tenure.

Kotoko’s disciplined display and tactical organization enabled them to withstand Berekum Chelsea’s determined efforts to stage a comeback.

Kotoko are heading to the final seeking their first FA Cup title since 2017. The Porcupines will face Division One side Golden Kick FC in the final, who booked their spot with a 3-1 win over Attram De Visser on Saturday.

The final will be played at the University of Ghana Stadium later this month.

With their chances of winning the League getting slimmer, the Porcupines will be determined to win the FA Cup against the Division One side and secure a return to continental football.

The winner of the FA Cup will represent Ghana at the CAF Confederation Cup next season, adding extra motivation for Kotoko to lift the trophy.

With their final slot booked, Asante Kotoko will now turn their attention to the Ghana Premier League, where they will host Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Kotoko will be hoping that the teams ahead of them drop points, while they win their matches to keep their title chances alive.

Coach Karim Zito has already emphasized that they will fight for the league title until the last day, leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of the championship.
