Liverpool and Real Madrid could battle it out for Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez in the summer window
Liverpool lead race to sign £50m-rated Real Madrid target

Liverpool are reportedly leading the race to sign Bournemouth’s £50m-rated Real Madrid target, Milos Kerkez.
Real Madrid are planning to make significant changes to their squad in the summer transfer window after enduring a disappointing 2024/25 campaign.
One can not confirm Carlo Ancelotti’s stay at the Bernabeu, but whatever happens, the club has a plan to revamp the squad for the upcoming season.

That said, a new right-back is at the top of the list for Los Blancos with Trent Alexander-Arnold expected to sign as a free agent once his contract at Liverpool expires in the summer.
At the same time, Real Madrid have also decided to sign a new left-back and a central midfielder, with Milos Kerkez, Enzo Fernandez, and Alexis Mac Allister, all identified as targets for the two positions.

However, according to journalist Jorge C Picon, Liverpool are the best-placed side to sign Milos Kerkez from AFC Bournemouth in the summer, currently.
Kerkez has seen his stock rise this season, emerging as one of the standout performers in the Premier League under the guidance of Andoni Iraola.

Bournemouth considers the young Hungarian international to be the best left-back in the world at the moment.
This has allowed the Cherries to slap a £50m price tag on their prized asset, as per the report.
Madrid looks like a serious admirer of Kerkez, but also presents an unlikely situation for Florentino Perez to spend big on the young talent, as has been the case with his Bournemouth teammate Dean Huijsen.
Just like Huijsen, he might end up staying in the Premier League, with Liverpool now said to be front-runners to sign the 21-year-old defensive block.
Kerkez ticks several boxes for Madrid – he is young, brimming with potential, and an attack-minded modern full-back, just what the Bernabeu needs to upgrade Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia.
