Liverpool not pursuing Kevin De Bruyne amid summer exit from Man City

Liverpool have not made an offer to sign Manchester City attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, who will depart the Etihad at the end of the season, according to the Liverpool Echo.
De Bruyne, who has spent a decade with the former Premier League champions, confirmed last month that he will leave when his contract expires.
The 34-year-old is expected to be a sought-after free agent, with reports suggesting that Liverpool are among the clubs to have approached his representatives with an offer.

However, the Reds are not in pursuit of the Belgian, with their recruitment team focusing on other areas to strengthen a squad that recently secured their 20th league title.
De Bruyne has occasionally been linked with a move to Liverpool throughout his career, partly due to footage of him as an 11-year-old declaring himself a supporter of the Anfield club.
However, Liverpool are cautious about adding players in their thirties, given that the squad already includes several veteran players.
Notably, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, who will be 34 and 33 respectively at the start of next season, recently agreed to contract extensions.

Aston Villa have shown interest in De Bruyne, along with clubs from the United States and the Saudi Pro League.
However, De Bruyne is believed to be keen on staying in Europe, with Serie A leaders Napoli emerging as one of the front-runners to sign the former Wolfsburg star.
Liverpool are expected to be active in the transfer market this summer, with a new left-back and a centre-forward being top priorities.
The Reds are also considering their options at right-back, with Trent Alexander-Arnold having confirmed his imminent departure.
Goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili has already agreed to join from Valencia, while alternative centre-back options are also under consideration.
