Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has addressed recent speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid.
The Argentine international, who joined the Reds from Brighton in 2023, has reportedly caught the attention of the Spanish giants.
According to various reports, Mac Allister has moved ahead of Real Sociedad’s Martín Zubimendi on Madrid’s list of midfield targets.

However, when asked directly about the rumours, the World Cup winner offered a calm and grounded response.
Speaking to TyC Sports journalist Gastón Edul, Mac Allister acknowledged the speculation surrounding his future but made it clear that his focus remains firmly on Liverpool.
“I read the rumours and the news reaches me, but the important thing is the present. No matter how much the club loves me, if I play poorly this weekend, they’ll lose interest,” he said.

This isn’t the first time the Mac Allister camp has addressed transfer speculation.
In early April, the player’s father, Carlos Mac Allister, emphasised that his son has no plans for an early departure from Liverpool and is committed to fulfilling his contract, which runs until 2028.

Echoing his father’s sentiments, Mac Allister said, “I’m happy at Liverpool and have no reason to leave. I have a lot of respect for the club, and I don’t think it’s necessary to discuss other clubs.”
The former Brighton midfielder also spoke about his experience adapting to life in England, highlighting the support he’s received from both fans and teammates.
Despite being far from home, he expressed a strong connection with the local community and a deep appreciation for the club’s values.
“I’m a little far away, so some fans greet you with respect, but in the city, they are more passionate. The club is like a family. One phrase sums it all up: You’ll never walk alone,” he said.
