Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold agrees to join Real Madrid this summer

Liverpool vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold has agreed to join Real Madrid this summer, according to talkSPORT.
The 26-year-old will leave Anfield after finalising personal terms on a five-year deal worth over £220,000-per-week with the Spanish giants, marking a significant blow to Liverpool’s plans.
The England international has been in talks with Real Madrid since January, with the Spanish club keeping Liverpool informed throughout the process.

Alexander-Arnold, whose contract with Liverpool expires this summer, is free to leave the club on a transfer, as he will not be bound by any fee.
After months of negotiations, the right-back has decided to make the move to Madrid, where he will play from next season.
A lifelong Liverpool fan, Trent Alexander-Arnold is widely regarded as one of the best right-backs in world football.
Under Jurgen Klopp’s revered tenure, he played a crucial role in helping Liverpool win both the Premier League and the Champions League.

Losing a player of his quality to a European rival is a significant blow, made even worse by the fact that he is leaving on a free transfer.
Back in September, Trent Alexander-Arnold hinted at his desire to build a lasting legacy at Anfield when discussing his future.
“I have always said I want to captain the club,” he told Sky Sports.
“That is a goal of mine, whether that happens is out of my hands.”
