Manchester United are reportedly preparing a major summer overhaul, with RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons and Borussia Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha emerging as key targets.
Following a disappointing season, United are expected to be highly active in the transfer market as they look to assemble a squad better suited to new head coach Ruben Amorim’s style.
Club scouts have been busy monitoring talent in Germany, with two Bundesliga stars now on their radar.
Man United Target Xavi Simons
According to Sky Sports Germany, United are keen on signing Simons, a versatile attacking midfielder who fits Amorim’s vision. The 21-year-old, capable of playing in multiple positions, has impressed during his time at Leipzig.

However, securing Simons’ signature will not come cheap. Leipzig reportedly value him at over €80m (£67m), having only signed him permanently in January after an 18-month loan from Paris Saint-Germain.
While United are expected to spend heavily this summer, their transfer budget will likely be supplemented by player sales.
Rising star Kobbie Mainoo has been mentioned as a potential departure to generate funds.
Felix Nmecha Also on United’s Radar
Further back in midfield, BILD reports that United have identified Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha as a surprise option.
The former Manchester City academy player could be available for around €47.8m (£40m).

Dortmund are reluctant to sell Nmecha but may be forced into difficult decisions due to their poor domestic campaign.
Like United, they currently sit 11th in the league and risk missing out on Champions League qualification, which would impact their financial situation.
United hope to capitalise on Dortmund’s struggles, with Nmecha seen as a potential successor to Christian Eriksen, who has publicly hinted at a summer exit.
