Man Utd fans spark controversy ahead of Manchester derby with ‘115 charges’ scarf

Manchester United fans tried to spark controversy ahead of the Manchester derby with “115” scarves ahead of their derby as City struggles over potential FFP punishments.
Man Utd fans tease their arch-rivals City with ‘115’ scarves – with Red Devils having fun at “noisy neighbours” as they anxiously wait on verdict in FFP case.
The current Premier League champions, Man City, are still locked in a long-running Financial Fair Play case after being informed of the charges being levelled against them for their breach more than two years ago.

Incidentally, no verdict has been announced yet after an independent hearing into the presumed monetary mismanagement came to an end.
That is keeping speculation regarding potential points deductions and demotion out of the English top-flight making a lot of waves in the football circles.
To put more pressure on the Blues based on the rivalry between the two clubs, the Red Devil’s fans were happy to make fun of their “noisy neighbours” as the prepare to host them for at Old Trafford.

In doing so, customized scarves have been produced by bookmakers Midnite that remind the blue half of Manchester of their supposed rule breaches.
A spokesperson for Midnite said:
“We caused a stir ahead of the Manchester derby by handing out special edition scarves that reminded City about their 115 charges.
“We wanted to create a keepsake for fans in attendance as City fans face an anxious wait over their alleged breaking of financial rules.”

In a post on the Midnite account on Instagram, the intentions of the fans were clearly stated – trying to create a hostile atmosphere for the rivals.
Reports indicate that 500 of the “115” scarves were handed out, with United supporters happy to pose for pictures as they made their way towards the ‘Theatre of Dreams’.
Utd have not played any better this season under new manager Ruben Amorim, as they sit at 14th in the table.
The dream of Europa League success will be the only solution to salvaging what has been a forgettable campaign.
