Manchester United start talks for Bayer star Jeremie Frimpong

Jeremie Frimpong has appeared as a key target for Premier League side Manchester United who have started talks to sign the Bayer Leverkusen defender according to TBR Football.
Jeremie Frimpong joined Leverkusen from Celtic in 2021 and helped the Bundesliga club to unprecedented success, including a league trophy, where the club went the whole season unbeaten.

Frimpong, 24, who also plays for the Dutch national team is a big target for Manchester United but has also attracted interest from Liverpool, who are set to lose star right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Trent is expected to join Spanish giants Real Madrid in the summer on a free transfer after many rumors on his future at Liverpool.
United were reportedly looking at signing Sporting Lisbon’s defender Geovany Quenda before the player completed a move to fellow English side Chelsea.
There is also Manchester City reportedly in the mix to sign Jeremie Frimpong. The player had previously featured for the City academy before securing a permanent transfer to Celtic.
With Kyle Walker joining AC Milan in the winter transfer window, Pep Guardiola’s side remain in search for a new right-back.
Frimpong, who has Ghanaian heritage was contacted by the Ghana Football Association in the last few years about playing for the Black Stars but decided to feature for the Netherlands.
