Spain and FC Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado is expected to miss the rest of the season after suffering a ligament injury to his right knee according to the Catalan giants.
This campaign, Casado has remained an integral part of the Blaugrana set up, contributing particularly in midfield in the early absence of Frenkie De Jong and Marc Bernal.
However, it appears Baraca cannot count on Casado’s services any more this term after the 22-year-old raptured his knee in the Catalans’ 4-2 win over Atletico Madrid on Sunday night.

Casado’s injury sees him replaced from Spain’s UEFA Nations League squad to face Netherlands with Bayer Leverkusen’s Aleix Garcia, who had an impressive stint with Girona in La Liga last season.
The knee injury of Casado is a huge blow for Barca who relied heavily on him to defend opposition counter attacks. Nonetheless, Hansi Flick will still have Eric Garcia and Frenkie De Jong in his fold as he continues 2025 unbeaten in all competitions across 18 games.
