Martinelli says Arsenal dream of winning the Champions League

Gabriel Martinelli

Gabriel Martinelli has revealed that Arsenal’s goal this season is winning the UEFA Champions League, a dream that all members of the club currently hold.

Martinelli scored the winner when the Gunners faced Real Madrid away from home at the Santiago Bernabeu, in what was a jaw-dropping display of dominance from Mikel Arteta’s side.

The Gunners look like one of the most disciplined teams with and without the ball in the competition and are two to three games away from rewriting the European history of their London club.

Speaking to the press ahead of Arsenal’s crunch Champions League first-leg against PSG, Martinelli revealed what the club is currently eyeing, indicating the prestigious European Cup title as their focus.

“We have this dream, we believe we can win the Champions League. This club has never won this title. The club deserves to have it. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world. We’re really happy to be involved in this moment”, he said.

Arsenal surely have the opportunity to go all the way, yet a strong Paris side who are also aiming for their first Champions League crown will do all it takes to dent the Gunners’ hopes in this competition.
