Liverpool could secure the title with five matches to spare if Arsenal lose to Ipswich at Portman Road
Mikel Arteta vows Arsenal won’t let Liverpool clinch PL title on Easter Sunday

Mikel Arteta has firmly stated that Arsenal will not allow Liverpool the chance to be crowned Premier League champions on Easter Sunday.
Liverpool could secure the title with five matches to spare if Arsenal lose to Ipswich at Portman Road, while the Reds win against Leicester at the King Power Stadium.
However, Arteta, who recently guided his team to a memorable 2-1 victory over Real Madrid, advancing Arsenal to the Champions League semi-finals with a 5-1 aggregate win, remained resolute in his stance.

“We will make sure that we win the game against Ipswich, and that (Liverpool winning the league) doesn’t happen,” Arteta said.

Arsenal pushed Manchester City all the way last season, but they’ve struggled to keep up with Liverpool in the current campaign.
Heading into Sunday’s clash at Portman Road, Mikel Arteta’s side sit 13 points behind Arne Slot’s side, with only 18 points left to play for.
Back-to-back draws – first at Goodison Park against Everton and then at home to Brentford – have further dented their title hopes.

Third-placed Newcastle, who visit the Emirates for Arsenal’s final home game next month, have hit form at just the right time. They’ve won five games on the bounce and could close the gap to a single point if they beat Aston Villa on Saturday evening.
Meanwhile, Ipswich are staring down the barrel of relegation. Defeat against Arsenal could see them drop straight back to the Championship.
Arteta continued: “Our last two draws have significantly changed the perspective, and credit to Newcastle for the form that they are in and the way they’ve been playing as well.
“I understand where Ipswich are at the moment and they’re playing at home and it is one of the few chances that they have left.
“But for us it’s a big game. We need to step up and start to win football matches in the Premier League to at least maintain the position that we are in and to push into the last few games with some hope.
“We know how tough it’s going to be. They are a really well-organised team.
“What (Ipswich manager) Kieran (McKenna) and the staff have done is remarkable and you see every week how they perform and the amount of issues they give to the opposition. So we expect a tough game.”
