The online news portal claims that “the 21-year-old is heading back from Belgrade, Serbia, with the move expected to be announced on Tuesday.”

The Reds have agreed a £40m deal to sign the left-back. Bournemouth have already signed Rennes left-back Adrien Truffert as Kerkez’s replacement.

Kerkez is set to pen a five-year deal with the Premier League champions and is determined to move to Anfield.

The 21-year-old joined Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar in 2023 and has since racked up 74 appearances, scored two goals, and provided eight assists across all competitions.

Milos Kerkez will provide competition for Kostas Tsimikas and Andy Robertson

Last season, he featured in all 38 Premier League games as the Cherries finished 9th. In total, he made 41 appearances, netted twice, and registered six assists.

Kerkez earlier admitted he is humbled by transfer links to Liverpool.

“Of course, something always leaks into the news,” he told MLSZ TV.

“I don’t know how. At the same time, I think it’s normal that if you play well and the team does well, then you get into the news and end up on the front page, and everyone talks about you.

“I see this as fuel that drives me forward. All this doesn’t break me, but it doesn’t ‘boost’ my ego either, but it teaches me humility and motivates me.”

Milos Kerkez will provide competition for Kostas Tsimikas and Andy Robertson, who has been linked with Atletico Madrid and may want to move on in search of regular football.

Liverpool have been active this transfer window, having already brought in Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz, Dutch right-back Jeremie Frimpong, and goalkeeper Armin Pecsi from Puskas Akademia.
