Mohamed Salah reveals decision to stay at Liverpool

Mohamed Salah has confirmed his decision to remain at Liverpool, stating that he is eager to win more trophies alongside his team-mates.
This announcement comes in stark contrast to that of Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose future remains uncertain.
On Friday morning, it was revealed that Salah has signed a new contract with the Reds, committing to continue leading the side under manager Arne Slot for the upcoming season.

Salah’s decision makes him the first of Liverpool’s three key out-of-contract players to announce his future plans, with Virgil van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold’s situations still unclear.
Van Dijk, like Salah, is expected to sign a new two-year deal, while Alexander-Arnold is reportedly set to join Real Madrid on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of June.
Salah is enjoying his best-ever season with Liverpool, having scored 32 goals and provided 22 assists in 45 appearances so far.
With the Premier League title already secured, the Egyptian forward has expressed his confidence in the team’s future under Arne Slot’s management.

“I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football,” he said.

Mohamed Salah has enjoyed a trophy-laden spell at Liverpool since joining from AS Roma in 2017, winning the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, Club World Cup, and two Carabao Cups.
In an interview with the club’s media team, the Egyptian forward reflected on his time at Anfield and outlined his ambitions for the future.
When asked about being third on the club’s all-time goalscorers list, Salah responded: “It’s great but I’m more proud when we win team trophies because this is the most important thing.
“When you win something with the team and are scoring goals and you are involved, that’s what people remember.
“Just individual awards without winning anything doesn’t feel great.”
