Mohamed Salah set to sign new Liverpool contract

Negotiations have been going smoothly, and Mohamed Salah is getting closer to signing a new deal with Liverpool with the news first broken by Liverpool correspondent Paul Joyce.
In a similar vein, captain Virgil van Dijk has also reported “progress” in talks for a long-awaited new contract that would keep him at Liverpool.
After a protracted negotiation process, it is believed that a breakthrough has finally been reached, and Salah and Van Dijk have made it clear that staying at Anfield is their top priority.
Liverpool has always had faith that the two players will commit to the team, even though their contracts expire this summer.

Salah, 32, has helped Arne Slot’s team to an 11-point lead over Arsenal at the top of the standings with 27 goals and 17 assists in 31 Premier League games so far this season.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, a defender for Liverpool whose contract at Anfield also expires at the end of June, is reportedly in talks to join Real Madrid. He would prefer to play for the La Liga team.
Madrid is certain that they can sign Alexander-Arnold, and they must notify Liverpool as soon as a deal is finalized.
All contract offers are drafted based on individual talent, data, and circumstances, therefore the England international’s circumstances will not affect what occurs with Salah and Van Dijk.
Additionally, there is a great deal of hope that the two will stay at Liverpool past the summer.
