“My dream is to retire at Barcelona”- Marc Casado

Casado

FC Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado has revealed he dreams of retiring at his boyhood club after breaking into the first team this season.

Back in October, Casado began to make headlines in Spain as a midfield maestro after putting up impressive performances for Hansi Flick’s side in the UEFA Champions League and La Liga, being a preference over the experienced Frenkie De Jong.

Although 2025 seems to be a completely different story for the 22-year-old in terms of slotting into the starting XI of the team, Casado says he’s willing to fight for his place in the Catalan side and ultimately spend the rest of his professional career in Barcelona.

Speaking to the club’s media team after receiving a second Spain callup this season, Casado said: “I am happy to be here, I want to spend the rest of my entire career at Barcelona and retire here. That is my dream and this is the club I love.”

This season in all competitions, Casado has been involved in seven goals for Barcelona despite playing a deeper role for the Blaugrana, who seem to be glad he’s transitioned from the youth ranks to the senior team.

He will be aiming to continue proving his value as Barca remain contenders for all titles within their reach this campaign.
