Van Dijk says Liverpool’s summer signings will help them compete at the top in the next years
Our ‘big summer plans’ will make us stronger next year- Van Dijk

Virgil Van Dijk has revealed that Liverpool will compete even better for all titles in the next years, knowing there’s a ‘big summer’ upcoming for the Merseyside Reds.
Last week, Mohammed Salah extended his contract with Liverpool for two more seasons, and reports indicate that a continuation on the part of Van Dijk is expected in the coming days.
Speaking to the team’s media on what his future and that of the club looks like, the Liverpool skipper explained that all is in place for a busy summer to improve the squad and plan right for competing at the very top level in the coming years.
“It should be a big summer. I think the club’s planning to make it a big summer. We all have to trust the board, as a Liverpool connected fan, to do the right job”, he said.
“Hopefully the club will be challenging for titles for the next two seasons as well”, Van Dijk added.
The month of March was a tough one for Virgil, who missed out on three possible titles this season at the hands of PSG, Newcastle, and Spain on international duty in the UEFA Nations League.
Van Dijk will still have his hands on silverware though, as Liverpool remain within touching distance of a 20th Premier League title, which will be Virgil’s second in five years.
