PSG will face Aston Villa after progressing past Liverpool
Paris Saint-Germain handed major boost for Champions League clash with Aston Villa

Paris Saint-Germain have received a major boost ahead of their crucial Champions League quarter-final clash with Aston Villa following a controversial fixture change.
The French side will face the Premier League outfit after progressing past Liverpool.
PSG triumphed over the Reds in a tense penalty shootout, while Unai Emery’s Villa managed to overcome Club Brugge.
The first leg of their quarter-final tie is scheduled for April 9 at the Parc des Princes, with the return leg set for six days later at Villa Park.

Villa will be aiming to secure a positive result to increase their chances of advancing to the semi-finals.
Originally, PSG were due to face Nantes in Ligue 1 on April 13, but that match has now been rescheduled following a request from the reigning French champions.
Nantes were initially expected to reject the request but have since agreed to the change, despite complaints from manager Antoine Kombouare.
Speaking at the weekend, he said: “I stopped fighting battles you can’t win.
“The only condition we set is to be able to play the derby on Friday to give us more time to recover.”
PSG’s Match Against Nantes Rescheduled
PSG’s match against Nantes has been rescheduled for April 22, causing disruption to the latter’s fixture list.
Nantes are currently in the midst of a two-week break due to the international window. Their next game is against Le Havre at the end of the month, just days before facing Nice.

After that, they will have another two-week break before a match against Rennes, which has also been rearranged. PSG will face them at the end of this stretch.
While PSG has had to deal with scheduling changes, their upcoming opponents, Aston Villa, have not been affected. The Midlands side will face struggling Southampton in the Premier League between the two legs.
