La Roja first went ahead on the night through a Mikel Oyarzabal penalty inside the opening ten minutes before Memphis Depay equalized from the spot after almost an hour of action.

Again, Spain went ahead on the night as Oyarzabal grabbed his brace before the Dutch cancelled La Roja’s lead through an Ian Maatsen finish with 10 minutes to play.

The game ended 2-2 after 90 minutes and was then headed to extra time before the dramatic penalty shootout. After 103 minutes played, teenage sensation Lamine Yamal scored an absolute stunner to put Spain in the lead for the third time on the night.
