Pep Guardiola want to be remembered for his legacy at Manchester City, as he considers taking a break from coaching when he finally leaves the Etihad.
Guardiola confirms he will ‘stop’ after Man City exit as the legendary manager reflects on the historical moments he wants to leave behind.
The Spaniard, who was responding to questions about his legacy and how he wants people to remember him ahead of City’s clash with Wolves on Friday.

The 54-year-old manager left it open, stating that people can “remember me however they want.”
In his view, he believes fans of the clubs he has managed have enjoyed supporting every side he has coached.

Guardiola said: “I want people to remember me however they want.
“After my contract with City, I’m going to stop. I’m sure. I don’t know if I’m going to retire, but I’m going to take a break.
“How I want to be remembered, I don’t know. All coaches want to win so we can have a memorable job, but I believe that the fans of Barcelona, Bayern Munich and City had fun watching my teams play.
“I don’t think we should ever live thinking about whether we’re going to be remembered.”
Guardiola signed a new two-year deal with City earlier this season, keeping him at the club until 2027.

Despite a disappointing Premier League campaign, he is aiming to rebuild his side to compete for honours again from next season.
Guardiola’s side have an FA Cup final against Crystal Palace to come in the middle of May – a trophy they intend to win, to cover up for their unimpressive 2024/25 campaign.
