Nations are unbeaten against Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League

Nations FC will look to continue their impressive form when they welcome Asante Kotoko to the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Sunday, April 20, 2025.

The Abrankese-based side is currently second in the league table with 48 points, just two behind leaders Gold Stars FC.

Under the guidance of coach Kasim Mingle Ocansey, Nations FC has put together an impressive run of form, winning four and drawing one of their last five league matches.

The team boasts the second-highest goal tally (30) and the best defensive record in the league, having conceded only 14 goals.

At home, Nations FC has been solid, ranked among the league’s top ten performers on home turf. With back-to-back home wins over Karela United and Dreams FC, the team will be looking to secure a third straight home victory for the first time this season.

Asante Kotoko, on the other hand, will be looking to bounce back after a tough run of form.

Coming off a 3-0 defeat against Accra Lions, Kotoko are currently winless in their last three league games and have yet to taste victory against Nations FC in the league.

Kotoko remain a serious title contender, having scored 28 goals and conceded 19 so far this season.

Despite the setback, Kotoko have been fairly reliable away from home, ranking as the fifth-best traveling side in the league and suffering just four defeats on the road.

Head-to-Head

This will be just the second top-flight meeting between the two sides at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, with their only previous encounter ending in a thrilling 2-2 draw last season.

Given Kotoko’s inability to beat Nations FC in the league, the match promises to be challenging for the visitors.
