Paris Saint-Germain have received a positive injury update as Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue return to the squad ahead of their Ligue 1 clash with Strasbourg this weekend.

Ballon d’Or winner Dembele has resumed team training following his hamstring injury, while Desire Doue has recovered from his calf issue.

The duo’s return could ease PSG’s early-season injury crisis and boost manager Luis Enrique’s squad as they aim to maintain their top-spot Ligue 1 standings.

PSG forward Dembele was sidelined for about six weeks with a hamstring injury, while winger Doue stayed out of action for around four weeks due to a calf problem.

They suffered the injuries during France’s 2-0 victory over Ukraine in the World Cup qualifiers in Poland in September. Doue was replaced by Dembele at halftime, only for the 28-year-old to later limp off in the 81st minute.

According to L’Equipe, the French winger, Dembele, could be back in the squad as early as Friday for the Ligue 1 home clash against Strasbourg, after rehabilitation in Aspetar, Qatar.

Meanwhile, Doue has also returned from his calf injury, while Fabian Ruiz remains protected after a minor muscle strain; other injured squad members will need more time.

Portuguese star Joao Neves continues his recovery from a thigh injury, and Bradley Barcola, sidelined due to persistent quadriceps pain, has not yet returned to full training.

PSG’s medical staff continues to monitor Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to prevent any setbacks following his recent international duty.

Despite injury challenges, the reigning Champions League winners maintain their spot in Ligue 1, topping the table with 16 points after seven matchdays, ahead of Marseille.

Luis Enrique’s side have maintained a perfect 3-0 home record, with three clean sheets, matching their previous 16 home league games.

Les Parisiens will look to maintain their dominance at home against Strasbourg, winning their last six encounters and scoring three or more goals in four of the previous five matches.

This strong home form will prove crucial as injured players return to bolster the squad, with the comeback of key figures against Strasbourg potentially signalling a significant moment in PSG’s season.
