The Australian coach expressed his focus on the team’s recent success and his personal plans, emphasizing his desire to enjoy the moment rather than dwell on speculation.

Postecoglou guided Spurs to their first trophy in 17 years, securing a 1-0 victory over Manchester United in Bilbao thanks to Brennan Johnson’s goal in the 42nd minute.

The win marked Tottenham’s third UEFA Cup/Europa League trophy, placing them behind only Sevilla, which has won seven times. The victory provided a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing campaign for the London club.

Despite their success in Europe, Tottenham’s Premier League campaign has been challenging, with the team currently sitting 17th ahead of their final game against Brighton. The final fixture is crucial as Spurs aim to finish the season on a high note.

Postecoglou remained relaxed about the ongoing speculation surrounding his future, choosing instead to focus on the team’s recent accomplishments.

“I haven’t had any discussions about my future, no one has spoken to me about anything. Maybe they’re waiting for the right time or feel like they don’t need to. I’m just going to enjoy the victory, have a quiet drink, and celebrate with my family, and que sera sera”, Ange Postecoglou said.

Winning the Europa League secured Tottenham’s place in next season’s Champions League and a financial boost estimated at around £100 million.

The victory also fulfilled Postecoglou’s promise to win a trophy in his second season, adding to his list of achievements at Celtic, Yokohama F. Marinos, Australia, and Brisbane Roar.
