Los Blancos have confirmed that the 2024 “FIFA Best Men’s Winner” has picked up an ankle sprain, without confirming how long he will be sidelined.

A club statement reads: “Following tests carried out today on our player Vinicius Jr. by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a sprained left ankle. The outcome is pending.”

This update increases Carlo Ancelotti’s injury list in the season, as the Spanish giants still ponder over their embarrassing loss to their Catalan rivals.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men failed to win to keep their title hopes alive, but now they are seven points short with just three games of the season remaining. And not having Vin Jr makes their task even more insurmountable.
