Real Madrid are set to pursue two Tottenham Hotspur defenders this summer as they look to strengthen their backline.
The Spanish giants are planning to sign three defenders in the upcoming transfer window after injuries to David Alaba and Éder Militão exposed a lack of depth in their defense during the 2024/25 season.
Los Blancos are strongly linked with a move for Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, but according to TEAMtalk, they are also keen on signing Tottenham’s World Cup-winning centre-back, Cristian Romero.
Romero’s current contract runs until 2027, and while it does not contain a release clause, Tottenham are reportedly expected to demand a fee around £60million for the Argentine.
In addition to Romero, Real Madrid have also expressed interest in another Spurs defender, Pedro Porro, who is on their radar should they miss out on Alexander-Arnold.
Real Madrid Also Monitoring Everton Defender Jarrad Branthwaite
Carlo Ancelotti is also said to be pursuing young Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.

Manchester United were linked with the English center-back last summer but eventually signed Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich.
The Toffees are likely to demand over £70 million ($90 million) for their star player.
