Ruben Amorim has acknowledged that he will not be given the same time to rebuild Manchester United as Mikel Arteta received at Arsenal.
Arteta, who took charge of the Gunners in December 2019, was backed by the club despite only winning the FA Cup in his first season.
That patience has since paid off, with Arsenal currently second in the Premier League and through to the Champions League quarter-finals.
In contrast, Manchester United are enduring a disastrous campaign, sitting 14th in the table. With the Premier League title race out of reach, their only remaining hope for silverware this season lies in the Europa League.
Amorim, who is looking to instill a cultural shift at Old Trafford, believes that Sir Jim Ratcliffe will not afford him the same long-term support that Arteta received at Arsenal.
The 40-year-old Portuguese manager remains focused on his vision but is realistic about the pressures of managing United.
Amorim said: “I don’t feel that. I will not have the time Arteta had. I feel that. It’s a different club.
“I think it’s a different club. I think in that aspect, the way Arteta dealt with that is an inspiration for everybody, but I will not have the time like Arteta had.”

Ruben Amorim provided a positive update on Amad as he looked ahead to Sunday’s Premier League clash at home to Arsenal.
However, Amorim will still be without 10 injured players.
Amad, who has scored six goals this season, has become a key threat on the right side of United’s attack.

His enforced absence has left the team without a key source of danger down that flank.
“I think it’s just Amad and Lisandro Martinez [who won’t be back this season],” said Amorim.
“But even with Amad, we will see in the last month. I don’t want to say anything, but I hope to have Amad back before the end of the season.
“Everybody can start [on Sunday]. If they are training this week, if they played [on Thursday], they can be ready and Chido is on the list, so he can play.
“Lisandro is out. Kobbie Mainoo can return [before the end of the season].
“Harry Maguire, we have to be careful. Manuel Ugarte will return. I think Luke Shaw and Mason Mount can return also.”
