Man United will host rivals Man City at Old Trafford, with Amorim keen to secure a victory
Ruben Amorim provides latest injury update ahead of Man City clash

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has provided the latest injury update ahead of the Manchester City clash on Sunday.
Kobbie Mainoo has returned to Man United training, but Matthijs de Ligt has suffered a fresh injury setback.
United will host rivals Man City at Old Trafford, with Amorim keen to secure a victory. The 40-year-old has faced a challenging start to his tenure, with his side currently sitting 13th in the Premier League.

His efforts have been hampered by numerous injury issues, with Kobbie Mainoo, Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martínez, and Amad among the players currently sidelined.
Ahead of Sunday’s Manchester Derby, Amorim received mixed news on Friday regarding his squad’s fitness.
“I think Kobbie is returning to training, so we will assess [him] ahead of the game. He cannot play a full game. I think Matthijs [De Ligt] has an issue,” Amorim said.
“Yes, [Mount] is fit enough to start, but we must manage him. Mason has trained a lot of times, getting the load in his body.
“Sometimes the mind is more important than the body. He is fit to play and we will see on Sunday.

Man City have also faced a challenging campaign, with their title defense quickly faltering. However, Ruben Amorim has insisted that they will still pose a tough challenge.
“I am more focused on our problems; I think we have bigger problems than Manchester City. They had problems in that run. They have improved. They have maybe the best coach in the world. They have top players,” he added.
“It will be a difficult match. I am so focused on improving my team, I am not focused on City’s improvements. The focus must be on how to improve our team in every aspect.
“No matter the context, we need to be there [at the top]. We will have to say a lot of adversity and big teams. I just want to focus on our strengths and use our club to bring one or two big players [in].”
