Tottenham agree terms with Brentford for Thomas Frank to replace Postecoglou

Thomas Frank is set to become Tottenham’s next manager after the terms of his move from Brentford were agreed in principle between the two clubs, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The two parties have now reached a verbal agreement over the deal, which will see the Bees receive £10m for a coach who has two years remaining on his contract.

Romano posted on X: “Thomas Frank will become new Spurs head coach, here we go!
“Agreement done with the manager on contract terms and staff, Brentford set to release Frank for fee in the region of £10m.
“He’s the replacement for Ange Postecoglou.”
Postecoglou was shown the exit door on Friday after leading the club to victory in the Europa League final.
Spurs beat Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United 1-0 in Bilbao, claiming a first major for 17 years.

Tottenham, meanwhile, finished 17th in the Premier League after losing 22 out of 38 matches last season.
The 59-year-old left after just two seasons in charge, having joined the club on a four-year deal from Celtic on June 6, 2023.
Frank was the leading contender to replace Postecoglou.
He has been in charge of the Bees since October 2018 and led the club into the Premier League, winning the Championship play-off final at Wembley in 2021.
The 51-year-old has helped establish Brentford as a top-flight club on a small budget.
Brentford ended last season 10th in the Premier League, seven places and 18 points above Spurs.
