Tottenham and Man United step up interest to sign Antoine Semenyo

Tottenham Hotspur has intensified its pursuit of Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, sparking a transfer battle with Manchester United.

The English Premier League clubs are vying for the signature of the talented Ghanaian international, who has been in impressive form with 10 goals and 5 assists in the 2024/25 Premier League season.

Semenyo’s valuation has been a point of discussion, with Bournemouth reportedly seeking £70 million for the 25-year-old. However, Tottenham is willing to make a substantial offer to secure his services, with some reports suggesting a bid of around £40-50 million.

Manchester United, on the other hand, has had a £55 million bid rejected for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, who is also on Tottenham’s radar. United’s priority target remains Mbeumo, but they are expected to follow up with another offer after the initial rejection.

Meanwhile, Thomas Frank’s potential appointment as Tottenham’s new head coach could influence the club’s transfer strategy, with reports suggesting he wants to sign Mbeumo. However, the final decision lies with Tottenham’s chairman Daniel Levy and technical director Johan Lange.

Semenyo’s future remains uncertain, with Liverpool also showing interest in the Bournemouth forward. He is believed to favor playing for a Champions League club, but hasn’t ruled out a move to Old Trafford.
