Takefusa Kubo reportedly has a €60 million price tag
Tottenham favourites to sign Real Sociedad star Takefusa Kubo

Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur have shown interest in signing Real Sociedad star Takefusa Kubo and are the frontrunners, ahead of Aston Villa, who are also keen on the forward.
According to a report from Fichajes, Tottenham now lead the race to sign Japanese star Kubo, but it will take a hefty €60 million to prise him away from his club.
The 24-year-old, who can play on the flanks and also through the middle, will give both sides enough options in attacking areas should the potential move materialise.

He will add goals and creativity to Spurs, easing some of the pressure off Ghanaian sensation Mohammed Kudus, Brennan Johnson, and other attackers.
With enough quality shown in La Liga so far, Kubo can succeed in the Premier League as well, with Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo backing him to “be a superstar” in future.
Kubo, who first signed for Real Madrid in 2019 for an undisclosed fee in a five-year contract, later enjoyed loan spells at Mallorca, Villarreal, Getafe, and now has been enjoying his best football at the Reale Arena.

Thomas Frank’s Tottenham are still looking to improve the squad in attacking areas and will relish the chance to add Kubo to the ranks in their bid to challenge for major trophies.
Whether they are prepared to pay the asking price, only time will tell. Given that, the North London club have enough resources at their disposal to complete a deal for the Japanese attacker.
The Japanese international would instantly sharpen Spurs’ attack and create more chances for their forwards. Strikers like Dominic Solanke and Randal Kolo Muani would immensely benefit from the services he will provide.
A Premier League switch would be the perfect next step for the 24-year-old – a fresh challenge where he can prove himself among the world’s elite, and enjoy playing in the Champions League with Spurs.
A move to Villa Park could be enticing as well; with an ambitious project under a top-class manager like Unai Emery and surrounded by quality teammates.
Wherever the Japanese star lands, it’s set to be one of the winter’s most intriguing moves for his career.
