Black Satellites have been on a week-long break following their return from Morocco

The Black Satellites, Ghana’s U-20 national team, are gearing up for their next challenge as they prepare to resume camping in Accra on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

The team has been on a week-long break following their return from Morocco, where they participated in a 3-nation tournament in Rabat.

Under the guidance of Coach Desmond Ofei, the Black Satellites will train in Accra and engage in a series of friendlies before departing for Egypt, where they will compete in the TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations from April 26 to May 18, 2025.

Ghana has been paired with Group A alongside Côte d’Ivoire, Tanzania, DR Congo, and a team from the Central African Football Federations Union (UNIFFAC) for the tournament.

The Black Satellites are on a mission to claim their fifth continental youth title, having previously lifted the trophy in 1993, 1999, 2009, and 2021.

The team is also riding high on their legacy of excellence, having won the FIFA U-20 World Cup once in Egypt in 2009. With a rich history of producing talented young players, the Black Satellites are determined to make their mark on the tournament.

As the team prepares to resume training, the following players have been called up to report to the Erata Hotel in Accra on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

With their sights set on the championship, the Black Satellites are ready to take on the best of African youth football and bring glory to Ghana.
