Postecoglou says VAR’s call on the Spurs disallowed goal is evidence of how it is ruining the game
“VAR is killing the game” – Postecoglou says after controversial Chelsea defeat

Ange Postecoglou has expressed his dissatisfaction with the Tottenham Hotspur goal that was chalked off by VAR on Thursday when his team lost to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
Spurs went behind on the day after 50 minutes as Enzo Fernandes opened the scoring courtesy a Cole Palmer assist.
However, Postecoglou’s side managed to respond about 20 minutes later through a Pape Matar Sarr finish.
The goal was then reviewed by VAR for foul play in the build up and eventually got cancelled as the Blues managed to hold onto their lead and ultimately grab all three points.
Postecoglou says VAR’s call on the Spurs goal is evidence of how it is ruining the game, labeling it a ‘madness’ in the current day.
” VAR is killing the game, mate. It’s not the same game as it used to be. The referee gave it and then needed six minutes to rule the goal out. It is crazy mate. It is a madness”, he said.
Tottenham are really in a difficult place in the Premier League this term, and Postecoglou’s infamous remark of ‘always winning a title in his second season’ looks uncertain by the day.
