Sporting Striker Viktor Gyokeres has reportedly chosen Arsenal as his next destination this summer
Viktor Gyokeres prefers summer move to Premier League

Viktor Gyokeres has been mooted with a move away from Portuguese champions Sporting CP, with his preferred destination for a summer move to the Premier League, according to Record.
Gyokeres have been on the shortlist for several top clubs in Europe, following a successful two-year spell with Sporting.
Manchester United were reported to be ahead of other suitors in securing the signature of one of the hottest strikers in Europe at the moment; however, the Swedish striker has reportedly turned down the chance to reunite with Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the 27-year-old would welcome a move to the Premier League, with his preferred choice being Arsenal.
He adds that the striker would entertain an Arsenal bid, but the Gunners, on the other hand, are still deciding between Benjamin Sesko and Gyokeres – sporting director Andrea Berta is simultaneously advancing both deals.

He again reveals that Gyokeres would be open to a move to Manchester United, stating that there has been no official rejection from the player’s side, but also, no deal has ever been submitted by the club, despite enquiring through intermediaries.

“Viktor Gyökeres prefers a move to the Premier League, and would welcome an Arsenal bid, as
@Record_Portugal reported. Arsenal still deciding between Benjamin Sesko and Gyökeres. Andrea Berta simultaneously advancing both deals.
“Gyökeres would be open to Manchester United. There has been no formal rejection, but a deal to date has also never been at an advanced stage, despite suggestions. United have not made any formal approach to Sporting.
“Swedish striker one of several striker options discussed for #MUFC. Gyökeres believes he’ll still be allowed to leave Sporting for €70m.
“Arsenal have always been one to watch, but it will depend on Berta now because he is also in ongoing talks for Sesko at the same time, with a bid for one of the two targets expected soon.”
No club has made a formal approach to Sporting, according to the club’s sporting director Frederico Varanda.
The Swedish striker is one of several striker options discussed for United. The former Coventry striker is believed to have a €100 million release clause, but the striker believes he will still be allowed to leave Sporting for €70 million.
Gyokeres has enjoyed a stellar season, scoring 52 goals in 54 appearances and providing 13 assists for Sporting across all competitions. He has netted 97 goals in 102 matches during two seasons in Portugal.
As it stands, no deal has been sent to either the player or the club from the Gunners. All focus will now turn to Arsenal sporting director Berta to decide between Gyokeres and Sesko, as Mikel Arteta demands fresh firepower to challenge for the Premier League next season.
