Hearts of Oak controlled the tempo of the game in the first half, with Ransford Osei’s corner kick setting up the opening goal. The Phobians’ attack looked menacing, and they could have added a second goal if not for Vision FC’s defense.
As the half drew to a close, Vision FC’s attackers threatened to equalize, but Benjamin Asare’s fine save on the stroke of halftime denied them.
The second half saw a different story unfold. Vision FC came out strong, and their persistence paid off when Adjetey Sowah scored a stunning equalizer in the 47th minute.
The home side took control of the game after the equalizer, pinning Hearts of Oak into their own half. Despite some late pressure from Hearts of Oak, neither team could find a winner, and the match ended 1-1.
The draw sees Hearts of Oak drop to fifth place with 41 points from 26 matches. Despite their strong start, the Phobians were unable to capitalize on their chances and were ultimately punished for their lack of clinical finishing.
